The Real Loser In The Massachusetts Election
January 29, 2010 by Phyllis Schlafly
Smarting from their surprise loss in the race to fill the U.S. Senate seat in Massachusetts, the Democrats are throwing their candidate, Martha Coakley, under the bus. They blame her for running a poor campaign that made losers out of Barack Obama, the Democrats, their bad health care bill, and even Ted Kennedy in his grave.
Many reasons, of course, contributed to Scott Brown’s remarkable victory. However, the chief reason Coakley’s campaign didn’t connect with the voters is that she is a feminist, causing even a liberal female TV commentator to admit she is “unappealing.”

The feminists for years have had a stranglehold over the Democratic Party, enforcing their rule that every Democratic presidential candidate must pledge his fidelity to abortion with taxpayer funding. But abortion is only the first commandment of feminist ideology, and Martha Coakley revealed much, much more, so let’s use her defeat as a teaching moment.

“Martha’s a really great candidate for everything that NOW stands for,” gushed Christina Knowles, director of the Massachusetts chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW). Coakley was, indeed, a really great advocate for NOW’s feminist ideology, but that did not attract the voters.

It was not so great when Coakley was disdainful about Scott Brown campaigning in the cold outside Fenway Park, the fabled home of the beloved Boston Red Sox. It was not so great when Coakley dismissed one of the biggest Red Sox stars as a “Yankee fan.”

Those comments fit the profile of feminists who have contempt for men’s sports and therefore have eliminated hundreds of men’s teams from college athletic programs under a misinterpretation of Title IX. Howard University even canceled both wrestling and baseball on the same day, giving double pleasure to the hateful feminists.

Boston University is the largest school in Boston, but it no longer has an NCAA baseball team. Nationwide, feminist opposition to anything masculine has forced the elimination of more than 450 wrestling teams.

Coakley insulted people with religious values by declaring that those who oppose abortion probably shouldn’t work in emergency rooms because an occasional patient might demand an immediate abortion. Feminists refuse to allow respect for a right of conscience because that might get in the way of their ideology that abortion is women’s premier right.

Feminists pretend they want all laws and behavior to be gender-neutral, with identical treatment of male and female (and other genders, whatever they are). But when it comes to domestic violence and child abuse, feminist ideology decrees that men are naturally batterers and women never lie so they don’t have to present evidence in order to convict a man.

As prosecutor, Coakley followed this pattern when she insisted on treating a falsely accused man worse than a falsely accused woman. As copiously detailed by Dorothy Rabinowitz in the Wall Street Journal, Coakley persecuted the Amirault family for child abuse even after it became widely recognized that they had been imprisoned on false charges.

Although virtually everyone aware of the Amirault case recognized it to be as preposterous as the false allegation of rape against the Duke lacrosse players, Coakley insisted on continued incarceration of the Amirault brother in contrast with the release of his sister. Coakley insisted that when women are involved in child abuse cases, the real culprit is typically “a primary male offender.”

Eventually the falsely accused man, Gerald Amirault, was released by the extraordinary intervention of the Massachusetts parole board, considered the toughest in the nation. That followed an exhaustive investigation, but Coakley continued to pretend that he was somehow guilty.

Democratic Party leadership has shown that it cannot or will not stand up to the incoherent, man-hating attitude of feminists like Coakley. For example, after they had a tantrum and demanded that the majority of jobs created by Obama’s Stimulus be given to women (instead of to shovel-ready jobs), even though most of those who lost jobs in this recession are men, President Obama dutifully acquiesced.

It’s no wonder that non-college-educated men voted overwhelmingly for Brown against Coakley by a massive 27-point margin. The Democrats are lucky enough to elect some feminists, but feminists are just too unappealing when running against a masculine man such as Scott Brown.

Brown’s driving a 2005 GMC pickup truck (which Obama sneered at) symbolized the elitism of Coakley, who drives a foreign car. While Coakley was sipping wine with drug and insurance company PAC representatives, Brown was shaking hands with the voters.

Commentary about Brown’s appeal to women is diversionary; it was male voters who overwhelmingly pulled the lever for him. Men are fed up with the feminist mindset and delivered a clear message in the Massachusetts election: give us a candidate who stands up to the feminists, and we will cross over from Democrat and Independent to elect a Republican.

Make No Mistake About “Feminism”

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

I go out into the world and I see and hear. Yesterday I went to the meeting of the County Council on Domestic Violence. Among other things that happened at that meeting, a younger, overweight, Hispanic woman stated to the council that (and I paraphrase) If you want to perpetuate this organization, we really have to reach out to young university trained feminists and get them involved with our activities.

I am generally quite quiet and respectful at these meetings as I am not a voting member. This time, I could not help but respond. I interrupted the group of 28 women and 5 men and retorted, “Feminists? Pardon me, we are here to put and end to gender bias not perpetuate it.”

I got a nod of approval from the crowd and NO dissent. The chair-person who is a highly intelligent and hard working woman from the Gay and Lesbian organization was still smiling. I was reminded by the woman who was the “sergeant at arms” that I was speaking out of turn, which was true, and I did apologize for disrespecting their parliamentary procedure.

The young woman was shocked at my opposition. She was flustered and began to stammer. The group quickly and quietly moved on with the next topic but the point is that here is an example of the arrogance of these politically motivated “feminists.” They are so ensconced in their misguided ideology that they are not prepared for opposition.

They expect to roll on unopposed.

This young woman came to that meeting believing that she was rapped in the bosom of her man hating sisters and that probably the men who were there, were the gender confused “wussy boys” she had seen in her “woman’s studies” classes at her college, the world famous, “Indoctrinate U.”

Folks, these politically motivated radical feminist profiteers are still out there practicing their bigotry in high gear.

I saw it with my own eyes, and heard it with my own ears. Right out in public.

It’s Not a Gender Issue

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

Recently an assertion was made to me that was so outrageous that I found myself unable to respond for a week. The truth of the situation was so intuitive to me that the idea that it had to be articulated was unimaginable until that time.

In San Diego County there is a group of people who have been victimized by a corrupt court and one of its stooges. This monster is an equal opportunity exploiter. He will destroy a man’s family, a woman’s family or a pair of parent’s family with equal relish.
Because this group is equally populated with men and women their perception of corruption in family court does not include an element of gender bias. This is a legitimate view from their perspective as of January 2010.

However, this problem did not appear overnight. This problem built itself from a beginning that is over thirty years old. Basically, this is a problem that was the domain of men until very recently when a system that has grown and grown, has had to be innovative in its quest for new victims. The gender bias that created it was no longer essential to its existence. It became self empowered.

Over the same time period, dozens of stories about mechanized armies who turned on their creators have been written. This is exactly what has happened to the radical feminists who created this army to stomp their enemy (men) to death. The mechanism worked well for the last thirty years but now it has empowered itself to grow without the control of its creator. Now, women are being victimized to a greater and greater degree.

Interestingly, this victimization of women seems to have flowered in an affluent community making their assertion that “its all about the money” completely true. It is all about the money. Always was. But this meeting was not held in a park where an “army of the walking wounded” gathered to share hotdogs. It was in a swanky restaurant, appropriate for the well heeled group. Few of them had ever been to family law reform rally populated by completely devastated men. To this group, the problem was quite new and from their perspective, equal among men and women. It was equivalent to a bunch of white Bostonians getting together on the Fenway to discuss American racism without ever having been to the deep South. And by the deep South, I mean the deep South thirty years ago.

When I stood and stated the obvious, that this problem was created, supported, perpetuated and exploited by radical feminists and that it would never be “set right” until that fact was acknowledged and responsibility was accepted, I was shouted down by people who asserted “it’s not a gender issue.”

The ignorance of that statement is so glaring that it astounds me. This group would like to have their particular issue addressed while leaving the entire infrastructure that supports it in place. The gender bigotry that built this entire problem is so massive that even if you had a totally successful battle and defeated it in one neighborhood, it would roar back bigger and better in no time at all. The terminators would hiccup and then continue to feed.

The documented proof of this is easy to see with Marc Angelucci’s incredible victory in the “Woods case.” That case should have effected immediate sweeping changes in California’s State policies regarding gender bias. It is a definite step in the right direction but its effects have not been felt yet. What I am saying with this is that the feminist funded court machine hiccupped and rolled forward. The Woods ruling was basically disregarded. The double standards still exists as illustrated by the Chris Brown/Rihanna case, the Mary J. Blige case, the Tiger Woods case and most recently the woman in Maine who just decided to shoot and kill her husband in his sleep. The feminist propaganda and agenda, along with the press and the politicians, rolls on.

It only stands to reason that women don’t want to acknowledge the gender issue. As a group, most have been indoctrinated in the “I am woman, hear me roar” ideology all of their lives. What I find most stunning are the men who embrace this “it’s not a gender issue” lie. Gentlemen, you need more exposure to men who have been a victim of this pure gender bigotry or to have experienced it first hand.

Responsibility for creating the terminator would be hard to stand up and admit and remember, this is a group who has denied responsibly for all kinds of abuses for over thirty years. I know my words are harsh but there is reality here that is being “lied over” with a lie that I firmly believe is heavier than the court saying “it’s in the best interest of the children.” This iconic lie has served the radical feminist ideologue for decades.

Put a stop to “it’s not a gender issue” before it is allowed to gloss over the real reason we have these problems to begin with. These problems are here because of power gained through bigotry. If you don’t believe me about power through bigotry, just ask Adolf Hitler. Real women will stand up the way Oskar Shindler did. The ones who don’t will be just a bunch of useless bimbos.

The truth is that the men and women in San Diego are being victimized by a system built completely of Radical Feminist Bigotry. The people who say “it is about money” are absolutely right. Power and money. Now that women are becoming wealthier, they are becoming the targets of that lustful quest. Ladies, how does that betrayal feel? Now you know how we feel. Powerless, betrayed, cheated and violated? Sounds like rape doesn’t it? Men have had over three decades of this kind of treatment. Women have profited enormously from it.
Not a gender issue? Wrong. It will no longer be a gender issue when women fix it; when they take responsibility for it; when they become truthful and fair. Denying the past thirty years is an insult. Funny, for men, this abuse was never a problem until it happened to you. Now the same seems to be true for women. Now women have the same battle that men have been confronted with for all this time, only now when you fight it you will have men with you. Let me tell you, we had so few women.
